Catherby is a small, members-only fishing town located immediately west White Wolf Mountain. The town is known for its numerous fishing spots for all levels of Fishing, all found close to the town's bank.

Catherby is part of the Kingdom of Kandarin. The local government of Catherby is led by the Mayor of Catherby, a fish, which was elected solely to prevent Councillor Catherine from becoming mayor.

Transportation

Many players first enter the town by crossing White Wolf Mountain. This area can be deadly to low-level players, as level 25 and 38 aggressive white wolves inhabit this area. Lower-level players can safely walk to Catherby from nearby Camelot and Seers' Village.

Players can also reach Catherby with various teleportation options:

Catherby Teleport — near the bank.
- Take the Dwarven Pass under the mountain from Taverley (requires completion of Fishing Contest).
Diary cape — the flax field just south of the courthouse.
Camelot Teleport — Camelot, slightly northwest of the town.
Gnome glider — top of White Wolf Mountain, a moderate run north-east of the town.
Kandarin headgear 3 — Sherlock, decently southwest of the town
Fairy ring BLR — Legends' Guild, well southwest of the town
Teleport to House or the Construction cape — Taverley house portal. Requires a POH in Taverley.

Players can also take a charter ship to the Catherby docks, and dock there with level 20 Sailing. There are also two grapple shortcuts: one between Taverley and Catherby (requiring 32 Agility), and one between the water obelisk and Catherby (requiring level 36).

Catherby kitchen	A building immediately to the east of the bank, containing a range.
Catherby shed	A shed from which Vanessa stocks the Vanessa's Farming Shop.
Councillor's office	Office of Catherby's government, run by Councillor Catherine.
Harry's Fishing Shop	A large fishing shop owned by Harry.
Hickton's Archery Emporium	A small shop where Hickton sells the Fletching cape and ranged supplies.

There are also two shops on the docks: Arhein's General Goods and Trader Stan's Trading Post.

Skill training areas

North of the town is a large Farming area, containing a herb patch, a flower patch, and two allotments. Players who have completed the different levels of the Kandarin Diary will get a 5%—15% increase to their Catherby herb patch yield, stacking with the magic secateurs and Farming cape. Wearing the Kandarin headgear is not required to gain the bonus yield. There is also a fruit tree patch located on the south-eastern beach near White Wolf Mountain, for growing fruit trees.
Along the shore, there are fishing spots where players can use small nets, fishing rods, big nets, harpoons, and lobster pots. This allows players to catch shrimp and anchovies (small net), sardine and herring (rod), mackerel, cod, and bass (big net), tuna, swordfish, and shark (harpoon), and lobster.
The kitchen immediately east of the bank is often used for Cooking training, as it is very close to the bank.
Yew trees and willow trees for Woodcutting can be found surrounding the area.

Charter ship

The charter ships also have a dock in the harbour at the south of Catherby. It provides rides to several other locations. After completing Cabin Fever, the charter ship fare is reduced by 50%. Wearing the Ring of Charos(a) also reduces the fare by 50%. These two bonuses can be stacked to reduce the cost to 25%.

5 December 2013 (Update)	The Thanksgiving party has been removed from Catherby.
28 November 2013 (Update)	Some gnomes have been added to Catherby beach, celebrating Thanksgiving with turkey you can eat or kick.
11 July 2013 (Update \| poll)	Perdu, a travelling dwarven merchant, can now be found in Lumbridge, Falador, Catherby and Edgeville. He will return certain reward items to you if he thinks you've lost them, although his prices are higher than you'd have paid elsewhere.
