Aldarin is a large island off the south-west coast of Varlamore. It is a lush and luxurious location, inhabited by wealthy citizens who live in villas, though its rocky south and west coasts are inhabited by dwarves and bandits.

The island is most known for the famous Moonrise Brewery and Winery, the oldest producer of alcohol in Varlamore. It is also home to the main facility of the Alchemical Society, an organisation of herbalists who fuse techniques left behind by the Old Ones with traditional druidic practices to advance the study of Herblore.

There are several ways to reach Aldarin:

• Using the western ship from Sunset Coast. Requires paying Antonia 20 coins.
• Using the Quetzal Transport System.
• Minigame Teleport to Mastering Mixology. Requires 60 Herblore (20 minute cooldown).
• Using charter ships.
• Casting Teleport to house if the player-owned house is in Aldarin; otherwise a Teleport to house tablet with a scroll of redirection (requiring 35 Construction), or the Construction cape.
• Using Fairy Ring CKQ.
• North Aldarin teleport via the Pendant of Ates (Requires completion of Death on the Isle and subsequent activation of the North Aldarin statue, see here for details).

In the main facility of the Alchemical Society, the player can partake in the Mastering Mixology minigame that offers Herblore experience and unlocks several related rewards, such as the prescription goggles, reagent pouch, potion storage, chugging barrel, alchemist's amulet and several potion packs. Aldarium can also be bought from here, which is a secondary ingredient for goading and prayer regeneration potions.

The largest villa on the island. Owned by Constantinius, the quest Death on the Isle takes place here.

The Moonrise Brewery and Winery is famously known for their unmatchable variety of wines that are sold at Moonrise Wines, and also own the Sunlight's Sanctum pub just east.

The facility possesses a fermenting vat that is usable by players, as well as a large field of grapevines which can be harvested when ripe if you have a grape barrel in your inventory, which can be obtained after talking to the vineyard foreman. After picking ripe grapes from 4 bushes, the player may hand in the full grape barrel to the vineyard foreman, which will reward the player with 5 noted grapes.

A mining outpost located on the southern coast of Aldarin. Overseer Khougo manages the operations there.

A bank can be found here, as well as many maple trees and yew trees. There are three shops found here:

• Stick Your Ore Inn
• Shields of Mistrock

There is a nest that sits at the top of the windmill that players can interact with, similar to that of the Woodcutting Guild. Instead of using eggs from bird nests, players can use any item from their inventory on the nest, and upon world-hopping or relogging, players may retrieve a different item to that they input.

Darkmoon Ravine is currently an inaccessible area on the west side of the island. There are a few bandits roaming the area. There is also a jug of wine in one of the buildings, and some seaweed on the north coast, one of which can be telegrabbed.

Sunlight's Sanctum is a pub opposite to the Aldarin bank near the fountain in the centre of Aldarin. Owned by the Moonrise Brewery and Winery, they provide travellers with meals and a large variety of alcoholic drinks.

Players can dock at Aldarin with level 46 Sailing, provided they have also completed Children of the Sun and visited Varlamore at least once. The dock at the north-east of the island offers the following utilities for sailors:

• Salvaging station
• Ledger table
• Bank deposit box

• Three magic trees are located along the north-western coast of the isle, and three yew trees are located along the north-eastern coast.
• Two yew trees and 27 maple trees can be found around Mistrock. These are notably only about 10-15 tiles from a bank.
• A hops patch is located directly next to the fairy ring.
• A mining site exists on the south end of the island to the east of Mistrock, containing 5 gold rocks, 5 silver rocks, 6 coal rocks, and 8 iron rocks.
• A wheat field and windmill are directly next to the Quetzal Transportation System waypoint.
• Ruby harvests may be caught to the west of the vineyard, and copper longtails may be caught to the north.
• The north coast of the island has fishing spots for small net and bait fishing as well as the south coast for cage and harpoon fishing.
• A loom is located in a shack just north-west of the fairy ring.
• Thievable chests in two of the villas containing various items such as gems.

• After completing the Cabin Fever quest, the price between two locations, as displayed below, will halve the charter costs to 50%.
• The Ring of Charos(a) also halves the charter costs to 50%.
  • These cost reductions can be combined to reduce the costs to 25%.
• Keep in mind the variance between destination fares. Similar to a layover, chartering to another destination first or using a non-charter ship like from Port Sarim to Musa Point can net significant savings. For example, the 2,900 coins cost to travel from Port Phasmatys to Brimhaven can be reduced by first chartering to Musa Point for 1,100 coins, then to Brimhaven for 200 coins.
  • The only exception to this is Port Tyras, which has the same fare to and from every other port.

• The mysterious nest atop the windmill is likely a reference to the trope in FromSoftware games (such as Dark Souls), where players can often trade odd items with birdlike NPCs by dropping them into nests and reloading the area.
