Telekinetic Grab

Telekinetic Grab (also known as telegrab) is a utility spell available in the standard spellbook. It requires level 33 Magic to cast, and grants 43 Magic experience per cast.

The spell can be used to pick up an item (or a pile of a stackable item) up to 10 tiles away, including over or through obstacles such as fences, gates, and rivers. It is useful when picking up item spawns that are guarded by dangerous monsters, such as the wine of Zamorak in the Chaos Temple, and is also sometimes required for quests in order to pick up items that are guarded by NPCs or otherwise unreachable. For repeated casting, it is recommended to have a staff of air equipped to negate the need for air runes, and to have a way of restoring Magic level if grabbing wine of Zamorak outside of the Deep Wilderness Dungeon.

Telekinetic Grab can also be used to loot lost crates and Sailing monster corpses from a distance, which is helpful if the player is in a multicombat area and does not wish to aggro nearby monsters by getting closer to the corpse. This also skips the net throwing animation that normally plays. It can also be used to lure Wyrmscraig goats when goat hunting.

There are only a few items, such as Ahab's beer, raw pheasant, Trouble Brewing flowers, dragon tokens and equipable reward items from achievement diaries, which cannot be picked up with Telekinetic Grab.

• If you move to a different level while you are casting Telekinetic Grab, you will use the runes but not receive the item. You will receive the message Your telegrab fizzles as you move too far away.
• If the target item of Telekinetic Grab disappears due to it either despawning or being picked up by another player, you will receive the message Too late - it's gone!
• It is not possible to cast Telekinetic Grab close to the Tower of Life. You will receive the message That nearby tower seems to be interfering with the spell.
• If you cast Telekinetic Grab on an item, and then start to interact with a farming patch immediately after casting, the spell will be cast, but you will not receive the item. Instead, you will receive the message You're too busy to take that item right now.
