Taverley

Taverley is a small Guthixian village found north-west of Falador inhabited primarily by druids. The village has no bank, but it is a starting point for several quests, and houses the Taverley Dungeon. The village is often the first place that members visit outside of free-to-play.

Several transport options bring players into or close to Taverley, listed here with their arrival destination. From closest to farthest:

• Construction cape or Teleport to House — Taverley house portal. Requires a POH in Taverley.
• Balloon transport system can bring players south of the tree patch.
• Games necklace — Burthorpe Games Room, well north of the village.
• Gnome glider — top of White Wolf Mountain, north-west of the village.
• Key master teleport — Cerberus' Lair.
• Falador Teleport — centre of Falador, well east of the village.
• Taverley teleport — just outside the Taverley house portal.

The following lore is sourced from the Varrock Museum and dialogue with Kaqemeex.

Sometime during the early Fourth Age, the druids erected what is now the only surviving stone circle, north of the city of Taverley. It is unknown whether the druids had already settled at Taverley before they erected the stone circle, or if they erected Taverley afterwards, but the town was likely established at a similar time, as Taverley is known to have existed for at least since years 1100-1200 of the Fourth Age, as Friar Twiblick was born and raised as a druid there back then.

It is unknown exactly when Zamorakians entered the cave system below, or whether or not the chaos druids in the Taverley dungeon were once Guthixians. However, the chaos druids in the dungeon have an altar slab that's surrounded with stone columns, not unlike the Guthixian stone circles.

There is a tree patch, used in the Farming skill. Players can also move their house here if they have level 10 Construction and 5,000 coins.

West of the village is White Wolf Mountain, a dangerous mountain featuring wolves, a gnome glider, and the lair of the Ice Queen. The Taverley Dungeon can also be entered south of the village; once the largest dungeon in the game, this dungeon features many powerful monsters.

There are wheat and cabbage patches in the southern part of the village, which players can harvest from. A number of spawns can also be found in the area:

• Alain, a gardener and member of G.A.G.
• Assistant Stan, a balloon assistant.
• Austri, a member of the Lumbridge Secret Council who initially steers players away from the White Wolf Tunnel.

• Boy, a child who accidentally kicked his ball into a witch's garden.
• 17 druids, devout followers of Guthix.
• Gaius, a merchant of two-handed swords.
• Ivy Sophista, a member of the Crux Eqal.
• Jatix, owner of the Herblore shop.
• Kaqemeex, the master of the Herblore skill.
• The Lady of the Lake,
• Nora T. Hagg, a cruel witch who experiments on rodents and kidnaps gnomes.
• Sanfew, the leader of the druids.
• Sylas, an item collector who found some magical beans.
• Tegid, a druid washing laundry in the lake.
• Winkin, a gnome trapped under Nora's house.
