Witch's house (location)

The witch's house is the primary setting of the Witch's House quest and is also visited during Grim Tales. It is located in northern Taverley and belongs to the witch Nora T. Hagg.

During Witch's House, a boy kicked his ball into the garden and the player must enter the house to retrieve it. Entering the house requires the door key, and entering the garden requires placing a magnet on a mouse after luring it with cheese. Before retrieving the ball, the player must fight the Witch's experiment.

During Grim Tales, the player must play a piano that can be found in the basement of the house to open a secret compartment with a shrinking recipe, to-do list, and two shrunk ogleroots. Reading the shrinking recipe allows the player to use the shrunk ogleroots to make a shrink-me-quick potion which is used to shrink down to access the Mouse hole.

The house cannot be entered after the completion of Witch's House, unless the player has started Grim Tales. After the completion of Grim Tales, the house can be entered, but the garden remains inaccessible.

There are two separate parts of the cellar. The northern part, Nora T. Hagg's cellar, is accessed by climbing down the stairs in the house during and after Witch's House quest. The southern part is accessed by entering the manhole outside the house during and after Grim Tales, and contains six Experiment No.2. The southern part can also be accessed by exiting through a grate in the mouse hole.
