Cheese is a food item which heals 2 hitpoints when eaten. Its primary use is an ingredient in other dishes, including pizza and a baked potato with cheese.

Cheese can be bought from Port Sarim, in the Grand Tree, or from the Culinaromancer's chest in Lumbridge. Members can make some by using a bucket of milk on a dairy churn at level 48 Cooking, giving 64 Cooking experience. A pot of cream can also be churned into cheese, giving 46 Cooking experience, as well as a pat of butter or not garlic butter, which both give 23.5 Cooking experience.

Cheese also spawns in Aggie's house in Draynor Village, and the cooking shop in the Bandit Camp (Wilderness). Cheese may also be found in teak larders inside of player-owned houses.

It is used in the Witch's House quest, the Ratcatchers quest, and optionally in the Mourning's End Part II quest.

Cheese dropped by mice during Grim Tales.

Cheese can be added to Rat traps found in the Rat Pits. By adding cheese to an empty trap, it is possible to indirectly transfer cheese to ironman accounts.
During Grim Tales, the relatively large mice in the mouse hole drop relatively large cheese when killed.
