The Desert Diary is an Achievement Diary whose tasks revolve around areas within the Kharidian Desert, such as Pollnivneach, Nardah, and Sophanem.
Several skill, quest, and item requirements are needed to complete all tasks. Unless stated otherwise, temporary skill boosts can be used to meet the skill requirements.
Rewards can be claimed from Jarr in the Shantay Pass. Tasks may be done in any order, but the previous tiers of a diary must be completed to claim rewards of the next tier.

Easy

| 8. Sell some artefacts to Simon Templeton.

- Goat horns from goats are now noted
- Simon Templeton now also buys artefacts in noted form

| 8. Defeat a Locust Rider with Keris.
Note: This weapon only has to be equipped as it dies, allowing you to deal damage with other weapons. Keris partisan and its variants also work for completing this task. |

| 9. Burn some yew logs on the Nardah Mayor's balcony.
Note: He lives directly east of the central fountain. |

| 10. Create a Mithril Platebody in Nardah.
Note: The anvil is found in the westernmost building. |

Rewards

- No new benefits
- Antique lamp worth 15,000 experience in any skill of at least level 50
- Pharaoh's sceptre will now hold up to 50 charges, up from 25
- Free carpet rides throughout the Kharidian Desert, down from a fee of 75-200 coins per ride
- Ropes are now permanently secured once placed at the Kalphite Lair entrance and Queen's Lair
- Roughly 14% increased experience and 25% more marks of grace from the Pollnivneach Rooftop Course[1]
- Camulet can now be rubbed to teleport to the entrance of Enakhra's Temple, aside from the inner sanctuary of that temple
- Zahur now also cleans grimy herbs in noted form, and offers her potion-making services
Elite

| 4. Speak to the KQ head in your POH.
Note: The Kalphite Queen has a 1/128 chance of dropping her head on death, and is guaranteed to drop a tattered head on the 256th kill, both of which can be used to create the KQ head. |

| 5. Steal from the Grand Gold Chest in the final room of Pyramid Plunder. |
|
| 6. Restore at least 85 Prayer points when praying at the Altar in Sophanem. |
|
Rewards
- Desert amulet 4:
- Unlimited teleports to Nardah, closer to the Elidinis Statuette than the previous amulets
- Unlimited teleports to the entrance of the Kalphite Cave
- Fully protects against desert heat while worn
- Antique lamp worth 50,000 experience in any skill of at least level 70
- Pharaoh's sceptre will now hold up to 100 charges, up from 50
- Free passage through Shantay Pass and the similar pass at Ruins of Unkah, down from a fee of 5 coins
- Access to the crevice shortcut in the Kalphite Lair (with 86 Agility)

Trivia
- When a player who has completed the hard Desert diary downgrades their Ironman status to a main account, the Pollivneach house task is marked as incomplete. However, the diary as a whole remains in the state of rewards having been claimed. The task does not need to be completed again to receive the benefits from the hard or elite tiers.
