Necklace of passage

The necklace of passage is a jade necklace enchanted via the Lvl-2 Enchant spell requiring a Magic level of 27. Right-clicking the necklace in your inventory and selecting "rub", or right-clicking it while equipped will allow the player to teleport to one of four possible locations. Using the necklace to teleport will consume a charge. After all five charges are used, the necklace will disintegrate into dust.

When teleporting using the necklace, the message You rub the necklace... will be displayed, followed by a message with the number of charges remaining, ex. Your necklace of passage has three uses left. If using the last charge on the necklace, the message Your necklace of passage crumbles away. will be displayed instead.

Equipping the necklace yields no stat bonuses so wearing it is purely cosmetic or to conserve inventory space.

The necklace of passage is one of the few pieces of teleportation jewellery excluded from jewellery boxes, so players must retain a necklace if they wish to utilise its features.

Rubbing the necklace will let you teleport to the following locations:

• The Wizards' Tower is close to a fairy ring and useful for players completing quests such as Imp Catcher and Rune Mysteries. It is also close to the Guardians of the Rift minigame, which is located in the basement of the Wizards' Tower through a portal in Sedridor's room.
  • The Guardians of the Rift minigame may reward you with an Amulet of the Eye, which has infinite teleports to the lobby area of the minigame. The necklace of passage may teleport the player to different parts of the bridge further away from the Tower, but it is still typically closer to the fairy ring than the Amulet of the Eye and requires fewer clicks to reach.
• The Outpost is inhabited by Jorral, who features in The Slug Menace and Making History. He also gives the player the strange device, which is used for the Hot & Cold challenge of master clues. The Outpost is also very far from any other teleports and is in close proximity to West Ardougne, Tree Gnome Stronghold, and Arandar.
• The Outpost teleport is also the closest teleport for a medium clue step.
• Eagle's Eyrie provides fast access to the eagle transport system, which can transport players to Hunter training areas in Rellekka, Piscatoris, Uzer, and the Feldip Hills. There is a rope spawn inside the cave for use with the eagles.
  • The nearby shortcut also provides quick way to access the Giants' Plateau from the teleport.
• Wyrmscraig offers Golem crafting, Wyrmscraig Goat hunting, access to the Slayer master Mortimer and access to the Mad Angel boss.

Because the high alchemy value is the same regardless of the number of charges, some of the cost of usage can be reclaimed by alching when one charge remains.
