Rimmington

Rimmington is a small village in south-west Asgarnia. In addition to playing a role in several quests, the village is popular for its player-owned house portal, which players use to train Prayer by un-noting bones with Phials and then using them on a gilded altar.

Many transport options bring players into or close to Rimmington, listed here with their arrival destination.

• Teleport to House — Rimmington house portal. Requires a POH in the village.
• Ardougne Teleport — Ardougne docks, which offer a trip to Rimmington for 30 coins.
• Skills necklace can teleport players to the Crafting Guild north of the village.
• Balloon transport system can bring players to the Crafting Guild.
• Crafting cape — Crafting Guild.
• Charter a ship to Corsair Cove, then speak to Captain Tock (Cabin Boy Colin after completion of The Corsair Curse) to reach Rimmington.
• Minigame Teleport to Rat Pits - Port Sarim (wily cats), east of Rimmington (requires Ratcatchers); Minigame Teleport recharges every 20 minutes.
• Spirit trees — Port Sarim. Requires 83 Farming.
• Ring of the elements — Air Altar entrance, north-east of the village.
• Fairy ring AIQ — Mudskipper Point, well south of the village.
• Sail and dock there with 18 sailing.
• Teleport to Boat — Rimmington mooring point once player-owned boat with a greater teleport focus installed is docked there (requires 18 sailing).

The following lore is sourced from Dragon Slayer I and dialogue with the Guildmaster.

Very little is known about Rimmington's history, but at least one of its residents (Melzar the Mad) arrived in 139, after the dragon Elvarg violently displaced the residents of Crandor. The Guildmaster says that Melzar fled "north of Rimmington," possibly indicating that the town already existed at this time.

• There are four yew trees () north-west of the general store. Behind Brian's and Rommik's stores are dozens of willow trees, and there are also some oak trees to the east of the village. Because the nearest bank is quite far away, the trees are not popular for training, but the area may be used as a place to level up Firemaking by cutting a full inventory of logs and subsequently burning them. However, there is no space to burn a full inventory of logs in a straight line, hampering training efficiency.
• The Rimmington mine north-east of the village contains tin, clay, iron, copper, and two gold rocks.
• There is a bush farming patch north-west of the village.
• North of the village is the hobgoblin peninsula, a narrow peninsula with safespottable hobgoblins, collectable sand, and snape grass spawns.
• The village also includes amenities such as a well and a house portal .

Off the coast of Rimmington is lone oak island, an inaccessible island with a single oak tree.

There is also a small field east of Melzar's Maze, where players can pick cabbages and onions, and a small patch east of Anja and Hengel's house, where players can pick wheat.

• Captain Barnaby, an old sea captain who can take players to East Ardougne or Brimhaven for 30 coins.
• Da Vinci, an aloof artist with a penchant for painting.
• Hengel, a man who is surprisingly anti-social for someone who leaves his house's doors open.
• Henja, the danger-conscious son of Anja and Hengel.
• Hetty, a friendly witch who needs help making a potion.
• Hops, an aptly-named man with a drinking problem.
• Melzar the Mad, a man who escaped the island of Crandor and hid in Rimmington but was slowly driven to madness in his seclusion.
• Phials, Rimmington's banknote merchant, through whom players train Prayer by having him un-note bones.
• Rommik, a craftware salesman.
• Shop assistant, an employee of the Rimmington General Store.
• Shop keeper, owner of the Rimmington General Store.
