A Lesser demon is found in the basement of Melzar's Maze, past Melzar the Mad. It must be killed to obtain the green key, which can unlock the green door and complete the maze.
According to Melzar's notes, Melzar summoned and subdued the demon to channel its magic to help perform necromancy to bring back the Crandorian refugees (including his wife) that were slain by Elvarg. However, as Melzar's sanity dwindled due to the numerous repeated failures to resurrect his fellow countrymen, the demon continued to encourage him, which led to Melzar becoming completely insane and obsessed with cabbages.
