Swamp paste

Swamp paste is made by mixing flour with swamp tar to make raw swamp paste, and then cooking the mixture on a fire, yielding 2 Cooking experience. It cannot be cooked on a range. It is possible to burn the tar, though it is automatically discarded. Swamp tar spawns in Lumbridge Swamp and Mort Myre Swamp.

To make a large amount of swamp paste from swamp tar, use a barrel of flour at either the Sinclair Mansion or Gordon and Mary's farm. Bring as much swamp tar as needed and 26 pots, Gordon's farm also has a pot spawn. Click the barrel to fill the pots, then combine with the swamp tar to create raw swamp paste. Repeat this until the desired amount is obtained, then cook it. A permanent fire is recommended for large amounts. There is a permanent fire at the base of Mount Karuulm, very near the fairy ring and in front of the shack with a rope spawn.

Swamp paste can also be bought from various shops, including the Trader Crewmembers at any of the ports in the Charter ship network, the Khazard General Store (south of Ardougne), the Mort'ton Builder's Store, and Shipwright Seb's shop in the Shipyard. Seb's shop is the most useful, as its prices are static regardless of remaining stock.

Swamp paste also tends to be rewarded in abundance when unlocking chests within the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.

Unlike swamp tar, swamp paste cannot be combined with herbs to form ammunition for a Salamander using the Herblore skill.

• Fixing leaks in the Cabin Fever quest.
• Repairing the boat in the Sea Slug quest.
• Repairing the bank in the In Aid of the Myreque quest.
• Attempting to glue a page back together in The Slug Menace quest.
• Repairing the leaks in the boat in the Fishing Trawler minigame.
• Repairing the temple in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.
• Building the rowboat in the Dragon Slayer II quest.
• A potential junk item to provide the dwarf in Mourning's End Part II.
• A task for the Wise Old Man.
• Creating various tiers of repair kits.
