Grim Tales
"Once upon a time in a land far, far away..." Sylas, a collector of items both wondrous and unusual seeks out the latest additions to his trove with a somewhat unusual prize for the finder. Terrors and towers await; fierce battles with giant beasts; striding boldly to rescue a dwarf in distress! Not a quest for the meek or faint-hearted, prepare yourself for a feast of fairy-tale fun with rewards a-plenty! The Brothers Grimm could never have foretold a tale such as this...

BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE BANK
Preparation
Requirements are gates. Recommendations are comfort and risk controls, not mandatory levels unless the game enforces them.
Items required
- 2 Tarromin potion (unf) or 2 vials of water and 2 tarromins
- Seed dibber (leprechaun is nearby). Not needed if the Farming portion of the Barbarian Training miniquest is completed
- Watering can with at least 1 dose (can also be stored with the leprechaun)
- Any axe
- Leather gloves (obtainable during quest, optional if willing to take 17 damage)
- High healing food
- Good armour and a weapon (Ranged or Magic equipment recommended if you have low melee levels)

- 43 Prayer for Protect from Melee (for running through areas with Mouse (level 95))

- House teleports Set POH to Taverley for quick access

Griffin's feather
- 01
Talk to Sylas by the POH portal in Taverley. Dialogue:

Talk to Grimgnash the griffin on the NE side of White Wolf Mountain (see map). Dialogue: I heard you were a great and mighty Griffin! → There once was a graveyard filled with undead. → There lived a skeleton named Skullrot. → Skullrot was insane! → Skullrot hungrily grabbed the gnome's hair. → Started to strangle the poor gnome. → He saw a hole he could just fit through.

Steal a feather from next to his nest.

Return to Sylas and give him the feather. Dialogue: I should be off, I think.
Rupert's helmet
- 01
Go to the stone tower south of the Mind Altar.

Climb over the crumbling wall on the East side (58 Thieving)

Talk-into to the drain pipe. Then talk into it again Dialogue: I think I might have an idea! → I could try and climb up. → Is there anything up there that can help?

Climb the beard and talk to Rupert the Beard. (59 Agility)
- 05
Climb down the beard and talk to Miazrqa behind the tower. Dialogue: I see there is an embarrassed-looking dwarf... → Your second-cousin, twice removed? → I need a key for the house. → I should be off, I think.
Miazrqa's pendant
- 01
Enter the basement of the witch's house next to the POH portal in Taverley.

Go to the piano on the southern wall, play the notes E-F-E-D-C on the right side (upper), then A-E-G-A on the left side (lower).

Search the piano.

Add the Shrunk ogleroot to your unfinished potions (52 Herblore).

Go through the south door on ground floor and drink a shrinking potion by the mouse hole.

Climb up the nails to the north-east.
- 07
Climb up the nails to the south-west.
- 08
Climb up the nails to the south.
- 09
Climb down the nails to the north-east.
- 10
Take the pendant.
- 11
Travel back to the tower and give the pendant to Miazrqa.

Talk to Rupert.
- 13
Optional: You can talk to Miazrqa and Rupert again to unlock extra humorous dialogue.
The beanstalk
- 01
Give Rupert's helmet to Sylas.
- 02
Plant and water the beans in the plot south-west of the Taverley tree patch (45 Farming).
- 03
Climb up the beanstalk (59 Agility). You cannot climb with a follower/pet, even if it's in your inventory.

Defeat Glod and pick up the golden goblin.
- 05
Talk to Sylas.
- 06
Use a shrinking potion on the beanstalk then chop it down (71 Woodcutting). Be careful not to drink it!

If you're stat-boosting make sure you use the shrinking potion before you stat boost - an animation plays and this could cause your stat boost to expire
