Big bones

Big bones are a bigger variant of bones. They are always dropped by certain large monsters including giants, ogres, trolls, cyclopes, and the lizards in the Kharidian Desert just north of Nardah. A few spawns of big bones can also be found in the Bone Yard in the Wilderness, and in the area around the Colossal Wyrm Remains located in Varlamore's Avium Savannah.

Big bones are also used to charge teleports on the giantsoul amulet, with each set of big bones and a law rune providing one teleport charge. Players can exchange excess amulets for 30 bones by speaking to the Odd Old Man with the amulets in their inventory.

Big bones give 15 Prayer experience when buried. As a member, this can be increased by offering the bones in different ways:

• 45 XP when casting Sinister Offering.
• 45 XP when offered at the sacred bone burner after the appropriate faith level has been achieved.
• 52.5 XP when offered at a gilded altar with two burners lit.
• 60 XP when offered at the Ectofuntus in the form of big bonemeal.
• 60 XP when blessed and broken down into blessed bone shards and offered at the libation bowl, or 72 XP when offered with a jug of blessed sunfire wine. Virilis outside the altar will exchange noted bones for 10 coins each.
• 105 XP on average when offered at the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness. Each offering gives 52.5 XP, which is the same as the gilded altars with two burners lit, but with an additional 50% chance to not consume the bones.
