BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE BANK

Preparation

Requirements are gates. Recommendations are comfort and risk controls, not mandatory levels unless the game enforces them.

Items required

  • 5,252 coins
  • Beer tankard or Beer (obtainable during quest)

  • Either a raw shark, raw manta ray, or raw sea turtle

  • 25 Fletching, 40 Woodcutting, and 40 Crafting (all boostable)
  • Woodcutting axe
  • Knife
  • Potato (obtainable during quest)
  • Onion (obtainable during quest)
  • Cabbage (obtainable during quest)

Recommended

  • 40 Combat
  • 48 Agility (when locating the Draugen)
  • Food
  • Armour and a weapon (note: Ranged is not effective)
  • 3-5 prayer potions
  • Stamina potions
  • A super combat potion or super set
  • Camelot teleport

  • Draugen (level 69)
  • Lanzig, Borrokar, Lensa, or Freidir (level 48) (multiple times)

Ironman notes

  • 76 Fishing (boostable) is required to fish for raw sharks yourself, but there are multiple alternatives:
  • Rufus' Meat Emporium in Canifis sells a single raw shark.
  • Frankie's Fishing Emporium in Port Piscarilius sells raw shark.
  • River trolls in the Enchanted Valley drop them commonly, but require access to fairy rings.
  • Waterfiends, combat level 115, rarely drop noted raw shark.
  • Mogres, combat level 60, require completion of Skippy and the Mogres, 32 Slayer (boostable), and fishing explosives to attack. They can rarely drop a raw shark.
  • Wintertodt can drop a raw shark after 43 Fishing, though it will be very rare, but chances increase with Fishing level.
  • Raw shark has a slight chance to drop from salvaging Barracuda salvage.
  • Sections of this quest have strict inventory requirements:
  • Thorvald the Warrior: No weapons, armour, or runes. (A Looting bag is not allowed, regardless of its contents)
  • Peer the Seer: No items at all equipped or in your inventory.

  11. 06

You can choose to let the 4th form kill you (this is safe for Group Hardcore Ironmen as Koschei will not actually finish you in this form; the player will faint and wake up upstairs rather than being killed), or you can kill it (slower and is not necessary).

  4. 03

Each line of the riddle gives you one letter of a four-letter word. See the table below for the first riddle line and the related answer.

  5. 04

Open the door again and climb-up the ladder.

  6. 05

Search/study these objects to get a bucket, red disk, wooden disk, jug, and red herring:

  7. South-western cupboard (bucket)

  8. Unicorn head (red disk)

  9. Bull head (wooden disk)

  10. Southern chest (jug)

  11. Northern bookcase (red herring)

  12. 06

Use the red herring on the cooking range.

  13. 07

Use the sticky red goop on the wooden disk.

Open the trapdoor on the east side, climb-down the trapdoor, and use the two red disks on the abstract mural.

  15. 09

Return upstairs and use the bucket on the tap by the cooking range.

  16. 10

Use the full bucket on the jug.

  17. 11

Use the jug on the drain.

  18. 12

Use the 2/5ths bucket on the empty jug.

  19. 13

    Refill the bucket.

  20. 14

Use the full bucket on the 2/3rds jug.

  21. 15

Use the 4/5ths bucket on the northern chest with the scale.
