Snape grass seeds can be planted at level 61 Farming. 3 seeds are sown in an allotment patch to grow snape grass plants, which yield snape grass: a Herblore secondary ingredient. They take 1 hour and 10 minutes to grow.

A nearby gardener will watch over growing snape grass plants for 5 jangerberries. Fully grown white lilies in a nearby flower patch will also protect the snape grass from disease.

These seeds can be stolen from master farmers. They may also be obtained from various monsters, Farming Guild seed packs, and the Wintertodt reward cart.

The amulet of bounty is useful for saving snape grass seeds, providing a saving of 24,107.1 coins per charge.

Average harvest yield

Snape grass has a minimum of 3 harvest lives, increasing by 1 for each tier of compost used (for a maximum of 6 when using ultracompost). While harvesting snape grass, there is a chance to not consume a harvest life dependent on the player's Farming level. This chance scales from 58.2% at level 1 to 76.6% at level 99, interpolating linearly in between.

Magic secateurs (equipped or in inventory) increase the chance of receiving additional yield by 10%.
