Turael is the lowest level Slayer Master, along with his daughter Spria. Turael resides in Burthorpe; the fastest way to reach him is to teleport to Burthorpe Games Room using a games necklace and running east to Turael's house, just south of the general store.

There are no level requirements to receive Slayer tasks from him, and completing a task assigned by him will always reward 0 points. Blocking a task with Turael costs 40 Slayer reward points and the block list is shared with Aya and Spria.

Because the tasks he assigns are relatively easy, players often use Turael to boost their Slayer reward points. This is accomplished by completing every 50th task with a Slayer master that gives a lot of points per task, such as Konar quo Maten, and using Turael for the rest of the tasks to get to every interval of 50 more quickly. You can do this every 10 tasks instead but this is not recommended due to the amount of unfavourable tasks that can be given, unless you use a Slayer Master other than Konar.

After the events of While Guthix Sleeps, he is replaced with his sister Aya.

Turael is capable of changing your Slayer task from another master into a less difficult one. If another master has assigned you a task Turael could assign himself, your request will not work. Additionally, Turael will refuse to change his own tasks. Tasks may be blocked at Turael to remove them from his list of assignments, allowing them to be changed if assigned by other Slayer masters.

This ability to change Slayer tasks is used in a method called "Turael skipping", which is commonly used when seeking a specific Slayer task from another master, such as a hydra task from Konar quo Maten or a TzHaar task in order to speedrun the Inferno. Players get a task from another Slayer master; if it isn't the task they want, they change their task with Turael, complete Turael's task, and repeat the process until they get the desired task.

Warning: After a task change is processed, your task streak will also be reset to zero!

It is possible to use this method with Krystilia as well, but doing so will still reset your Wilderness Slayer task streak. This mechanic can be used by Ironmen, as it can be combined with Turael boosting as explained above, while hunting Revenant tasks to receive a wilderness weapon or kill the wilderness bosses on-task who drop the Voidwaker pieces.

Note: The Astral Contact spell in the Lunar spellbook can be used to obtain a new task from Turael.
