Sir Vyvin's squire is in trouble. He has accidentally lost Sir Vyvin's ceremonial sword. Help him find a replacement without Sir Vyvin finding out.

Preparation
Requirements are gates. Recommendations are comfort and risk controls, not mandatory levels unless the game enforces them.
Items required
- Redberry pie (not half a redberry pie)
- 2 or 4 iron bars (4 if you want your own blurite sword)
- 1-3 Blurite ore (obtained during the quest) - optionally an additional ore each for your own blurite sword and the Falador easy diary (Members only)
- Any pickaxe (one spawns in Rimmington)

- 20 Combat
- Armour and some food for aggressive enemies near the blurite rocks
- Fast travel to several locations:
- Falador to start the quest plus 2 additional trips - Falador Teleport, Ring of wealth (Members only)
- Varrock (1 trip) - Varrock Teleport, Chronicle, Skills necklace to Cooks' Guild (Members only) or Ring of wealth to Grand Exchange (Members only)
- Mudskipper Point (2 trips) - fairy ring AIQ (Members only), Teleport to House (Rimmington) (Members only), Rat Pits minigame teleport (Members only), or Falador Teleport

- A method to obtain iron bars:
- 15 Mining Mining and 15 Smithing Smithing if smelting iron ore
- Spawn in level 18 Wilderness north-west of the Ferox Enclave, next to the bears west of the Graveyard of Shadows. Accessible via Clan Wars Minigame Minigame Teleport
- 1/42.67 drop from dwarves (10 Combat) in the mines under Falador
- (Members only) Spawn in Thurid's Brain Buckets on the Sunset Coast in Varlamore (requires Children of the Sun Quest)
- (Members only) 1/34.42 drop from sorting small salvage with 15 Sailing
- A method to obtain a redberry pie:
- 10 Cooking Cooking to cook one. A pie dish can be found in the Varrock Palace kitchen, and redberries can be picked just west of the South-east Varrock mine

- (Members only) Partial completion of Perilous Moons to purchase a Redberry pie from Yarnio

Talk to the Squire in the White Knights' Castle. Dialogue: And how is life as a squire? → I can make a new sword if you like... → So would these dwarves make another one? → Ok, I'll give it a go.

Talk to Reldo in the library of Varrock Palace. Dialogue: . What do you know about the Imcando dwarfs? (Dialogue: . What do you know about the Imcando dwarfs? if Shield of Arrav not started.) Skip this step if you already met Thurgo during The Giant Dwarf.

Talk to Thurgo south of Port Sarim (by the anvil, north of the fairy ring AIQ) and give him a redberry pie. Dialogue: Would you like a redberry pie? (Dialogue: Would you like a redberry pie? if The Giant Dwarf quest is in progress.)

Talk to him again. Dialogue: Something else.

Go back and talk to the Squire.

Climb-up the ladder on the eastern side of the castle to the first floor. Go west and climb-up the eastern staircase. Search the cupboard in Sir Vyvin's bedroom for a portrait. He must not be looking at you.

Proceed back to Thurgo and give him the portrait. Dialogue: About that sword... Bring iron bars with you.

Go to the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon using the trapdoor to the east of Thurgo.

Once inside, follow the path west, north, and then east. Keep along the southern wall in the icy area and mine a blurite ore. Mine another if planning on doing the Falador Easy Diary.

Talk to Thurgo with your iron bars and blurite ore. Dialogue: Can you make that replacement sword now?

Bring the sword to the Squire.
