Shilo Village (location)

Shilo Village is a small village in southern Karamja, accessible after completing the Shilo Village quest.

Several transport options bring players into or close to Shilo Village, listed here with their arrival destination. From closest to farthest:

• Hajedy and Vigroy's cart system brings players between Shilo Village and Brimhaven, costing between 10-200 coins each time.

• Karamja gloves 4 — Duradel. Requires completion of the elite Karamja diary.
• Karamja gloves 3 — gem mine. Requires completion of the hard Karamja diary.
• Achievement diary cape — west of the village.
• Gnome glider — east of the village.
• Fairy ring CKR — outside of the village. With 79 Agility, players can scale the rocks near the north-eastern corner of the village wall.

Players can also talk to Seravel upstairs in the Shilo Village fishing shop to buy a one-way ticket on the Lady of the Waves for 25 coins. Players can then go to either Port Khazard or Port Sarim by presenting the ticket to the boat west of Shilo Village.

It is not known exactly when the village was first founded, but it presumably was created after the destruction of an ancient temple nearby, known as Ah Za Rhoon. The houses of those near the temple were entered by the witch queen Rashiliyia, who killed the residents one by one. In the late Fifth Age, the ghost of Rashiliyia returned from the dead and sent a horde of undead ones to destroy Shilo Village. A brave adventurer managed to put her remains within her son's tomb, releasing her spirit and thus ending her spree of terror.

The north-west corner of the village contains the Shilo Village mine, a cluster of 7 gem rocks. An additional underground section of the gem mine, containing 48 more rocks and a bank deposit box, is unlocked if the player has completed the Medium Karamja Diary. This area is popular among many players because here they can train both Mining and Crafting (by cutting gems) at the same time.

There are also four fishing spots in Shilo Village. At these fishing spots, fly fishing rods and feathers can be used to lure trout and salmon, or fishing rods and fishing bait can be used to catch pike. The Agility shortcut across the village river can be used at 32 Agility to lowers the time needed to reach fishing spots on the other side of the river.

Finally, the undead ones over the gate can be safely attacked with Ranged or Magic, making it good for experience. Halberds can also be used to train melee.

• Duradel, the highest-level Slayer master.
• Fernahei, Owner of the local fishing shop.
• Kaleb Paramaya, the owner of the Paramaya Inn, who sells tickets and wine.
• Kuradal, the daughter of Duradel, trained to one day take over for him.
• Mosol Rei, a warrior from Shilo Village, who offers players entry for the first time.
• Obli, owner of the local general store, which stocks more items than most other general stores in the game.
• Seravel, a ticket salesman who offers tickets for the Lady of the Waves.
• Vigroy, a cart driver who is experienced enough to bring players all the way to Brimhaven.
• Yanni Salika, an antique collector who buys certain quest items from players.
• Yohnus, a blacksmith who knows how convenient his furnace is and therefore charges players to use it.

The only monsters found in Shilo Village are the undead ones, found right at its gates. There are five level 68 varieties and four level 73 varieties present.
