Tuna is a type of fish that restores 10 Hitpoints when eaten. It can be obtained by cooking raw tuna on a fire or cooking range, requiring level 30 Cooking and granting 100 experience when successful. When cooking there is a chance to fail, resulting in a burnt tuna. The burn rate decreases as the player's Cooking level increases, and it will stop burning entirely at Cooking level 63 on both ranges and fires.

Tuna is one of the fish required by Caleb in the quest Family Crest.

Tuna is used with sweetcorn to make tuna and corn which requires Cooking level 67 to make and restores 13 hitpoints when eaten. Potato with butter can also be added to tuna and corn to create a tuna potato which requires Cooking level 68 to make, restoring 22 Hitpoints when eaten.

When eaten, the message You eat the tuna. is displayed.

Trivia

Until 24 December 2001, the examine text of tuna was simply "Wow".^[1] This was unintentional, arising from the fact that values in the game data were separated by commas at the time, making it impossible to include a comma in an examine text.
