Belladonna, also known as nightshade, is a plant that can be grown by planting 1 belladonna seed in the Draynor Manor belladonna patch or the Auburnvale belladonna patch at level 63 Farming to yield nightshade, a stackable variant of cave nightshade, which is used in Herblore to make weapon poison(++) or as an addition to dynamite for poison dynamite.
There is no nearby gardener to watch over growing belladonna. It is recommended to use compost when planting them.
Players must pick nightshade with gloves equipped, or they will be hit for 2 damage (appears as a poison hitsplat) instead of harvesting the nightshade. Certain decorative gloves, such as mime gloves, do not work safely. Some other items that go in the hand slot also work, like the regen bracelet.
Belladonna gives 91 XP when planted and 512 XP when harvested. It takes 5 hours and 20 minutes to grow. Diseased belladonna may be restored with plant cure or the Lunar spell Cure Plant.
Harvesting nightshade from Draynor Manor is a task in the hard Lumbridge and Draynor Diary.

Average yield
The minimum yield is always six, but a higher Farming level increases the potential yield, similar to limpwurt roots; however, unlike limpwurts, magic secateurs do not increase yield when picking from belladonnas.[1]
With the introduction of nightshade, the maximum possible yield is now 18 at level 99.

Gielinor's Flora
The flower is described in flowers, Gielinor's Flora volume 1:
Belladona[sic], sometimes known as cave nightshade, is a flowering plant that is closely related to tomatoes and potatoes. However, unlike them, every part of this plant is poisonous, with it reaching its peak deadliness just after flowering. The flowers are thankfully easily identifiable due to being bell-shaped, dull purple and faintly scented. Symptoms of belladonna poisoning include sensitivity to light, blurred vision, loss of balance, staggering, headaches, rash, confusion, hallucinations, delirium, and convulsions. Its only real use is in the production of poison.
