Limpwurt roots are a Herblore secondary ingredient that can be grown through the Farming skill at level 26 with limpwurt seeds. 15 limpwurt roots are used to protect growing teak trees.
They are useful in free-to-play to make strength potions (or super strength for members). The Apothecary in Varrock will exchange them for four-dose antipoison, energy potions, and strength potions. Adding them to a compost bin makes regular compost.
Limpwurt roots can easily be obtained from hill giants and hobgoblins; ogresses also commonly drop them.

Trivia
- According to the official bestiary and Gielinor's flora - flowers, hobgoblins often chew limpwurt roots, which explains why they frequently drop them.
- In the update on 23 August 2018 that improved limpwurt root yields from limpwurt seeds, nechryael and kurasks' limpwurt root drops were changed to single limpwurt seeds; this caused an increase in the Grand Exchange price of limpwurt roots.
