Bass is a type of fish that restores 13 Hitpoints when eaten. It can be obtained by cooking raw bass on a fire or cooking range, requiring level 43 Cooking and granting 130 experience when successful. When cooking there is a chance to fail, resulting in a burnt fish. The burn rate decreases as the player's Cooking level increases, and it will stop burning entirely at Cooking level 80 on both ranges and fires.

Bass are one of the fish required by Caleb in the quest Family Crest.

When eaten, the message You eat the bass. is displayed.
