The Ardougne Zoo is always looking for new specimens, but one of their anticipated new attractions - a ferret from the north - has been proving elusive. One of the Zoo's more eccentric freelance specimen hunters is reported to be on the case, but after setting out for the far western reaches, somewhere between the Piscatoris Fishing Colony and the Tree Gnome Stronghold, nothing more has been heard from him. Preparation
Requirements are gates. Recommendations are comfort and risk controls, not mandatory levels unless the game enforces them.

- Fast travel to the Eagles' Peak (Fairy Rings to AKQ or Piscatoris teleport)
- Fast travel to Varrock (Varrock teleport, Chronicle, or Rat Pits Minigame Teleport)
- Fast travel to the Ardougne Zoo (Ardougne Cloak 1 or Ardougne teleport)
- 25 Agility Agility for a shortcut
- Stamina or energy potions.
- A rope to use the Eagle transport system after the quest (each location flown to completes a medium diary task)
- A teasing stick, thatching spar, or garden cane to grow the vine for entrance to the jungle eagle's nest if you decide to use the Eagle transport system after the quest.

Getting started

Talk to Charlie in Ardougne Zoo. Dialogue: Ah, you sound like someone who needs a quest doing! → Sure. Any idea where I should start looking?
Eagles' Peak
- 01
Head to Eagles' Peak west of the Tree Gnome Stronghold.

Teleport with necklace of passage to The Outpost and run north west, or use fairy ring code AKQ and run south. The fastest way to get there is taking the rowboat just south-east of the Piscatoris teleport scroll.

Go to the northern side of the mountain's base to a campsite (by the agility shortcut on the world map).

Inspect the books to receive a Bird book.
- 04
Click on the book to obtain a Metal feather.
- 05
Climb the rocks attached to the mountain next to the campsite, or follow the grey path south-east of the campsite if you don't have 25 Agility.

Use the metal feather on the Rocky outcrop and enter the cave.

In the dungeon, go east to the Y-shaped intersection, then head south to the edge of the canyon.

Try to take one of the giant feathers from the south-western most pile to receive eagle feathers, and Nickolaus will shout at you. Dialogue: The Ardougne zookeeper sent me to find you. → Well if you gave me a ferret I could take it back for you. → Could I help at all?

Pick up 10 eagle feathers from any pile on the ground.
The disguise
- 01
Head to the south-east corner of Varrock to the Fancy Clothes Store (via Varrock tele, Rat Pits Grouping teleport, etc.)

Talk to Asyff. Dialogue: Well, specifically I'm after a couple of bird costumes.
- 03
Talk to Asyff again. Dialogue: I've got the feathers and materials you requested. → Okay, here are the materials. Eagle me up.
Bronze feather
- 01
Go back into the Eagles' Peak Dungeon.
- 02
Enter the farthest south-west tunnel in the dungeon.
- 03
Try to grab the feather from the pedestal.
- 04
Operate the four winches in the corners of the room in any order.

Grab the Bronze feather.
Silver feather
- 01
Exit the tunnel and enter the next tunnel to the north.
- 02
Inspect the pedestal and complete the trail by inspecting the first rock to the east, then the rocks to the north-east. (27 Hunter Required)

Inspect the opening in the wall north-east of the cave and threaten the kebbit. Select taunt. Dialogue: Taunt the kebbit.

Pick up the Silver feather.
Golden feather
- 01
Exit the tunnel back to the main dungeon and run up the farthest north-east path.

Go through the tunnel entrance.
The puzzle
- 01
Take 6 handfuls of bird seed near the entrance.

Pull the lever marked (1).

Place bird seed in (2).
- 04
Place bird seed in (3).

Pull lever (4).

Push lever (5) (the same one as 1).

Place bird seed in (6).

Pull lever (7).

Place bird seed in (8).

Pull lever (9).

Place bird seed in (10).

Place bird seed in (11) (the same feeder as 6).

Retrieve the golden feather from the pedestal to the west.
The eagle door
- 01
Exit the golden feather tunnel and go to the door south of Nickolaus.
- 02
Use all 3 feathers (bronze, silver, gold) on the door's eagle carving and enter it (the metal feather only opens the dungeon).

Equip the Eagle cape and Fake beak you made for yourself earlier.
- 04
While wearing the disguise, click the Giant eagle and 'walk-past the Giant eagle' and talk to Nickolaus.
Finishing up
- 01
Exit the eagles' dungeon and go back to the campsite north of the mountain.
- 02
Talk to Nickolaus. Dialogue: Well I was originally sent to find you because of a ferret. → That sounds good to me.

Once the cutscene is over, you will have a ferret in your inventory. (Do not release it or you will have to catch another.)

Go back to the Ardougne Zoo and talk to Charlie.

Congratulations, quest complete!
