A garden cane is an item used in the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest. Players must obtain three canes from the pile in the 'garden' of Fenkenstrain's Castle, next to the Gardener Ghost. The garden canes are then used on a garden brush, along with bronze wire, to create an extended brush.
It can also be used to help a young vine grow up a cliff in the Feldip Hills so that you can access the jungle eagles from outside/in the jungle.
