Monkey Zombies are encountered during Monkey Madness I in the Ape Atoll Dungeon and Temple of Marimbo Dungeon. They drop monkey bones that are needed to make a zombie greegree. They appear to be green undead monkeys.

These monsters can be used for Ranged training, with high enough Prayer and combat levels, at about 100,000 experience per hour at higher levels. Protect from Melee, and restore on the altar to the north-west above the dungeon. Equip a greegree prior to completing Monkey Madness II or the Monkey guards may attack after going up the ladder. Alternatively bring Prayer equipment and use prayer potions. Salve amulets and the enchanted version work against them as they are undead.

The level 98 monkey zombies can only be found in the room with the monkey skull in the Temple of Marimbo Dungeon, requiring completion of the Hard Western Provinces Diary.
