Warped Terrorbirds are creatures found in the Poison Waste Dungeon beneath the Galarpos Mountains, requiring partial completion of The Path of Glouphrie and level 56 Slayer to kill. It is recommended to wear earmuffs or a Slayer helmet while fighting them in order to halve their max hit and reduce chip damage through protection prayer from their ranging attacks.^[1] Players must have the crystal chime in their inventory to fight them, otherwise they will be invulnerable. They do not count for bird Slayer tasks, and it is not required to be on task to kill them.

Warped terrorbirds will never grow tolerant of intruders, and will remain aggressive even after staying in their tolerance region for ten minutes.^[2]

There is a safespot at the beginning of the dungeon, from which the terrorbirds can be attacked with any 9 range or higher weapon, such as a crossbow on longrange, by opening the two doors leading to the first terrorbird room and luring several, then standing 9 tiles away near the warped tortoise. Alternatively, if players stand on the tile south-adjacent to the southern-most point of the poison wastewater, they can remain safespotted from the terrorbirds' melee attacks, and use Protect from Missiles to avoid taking damage. In the latter case, a Dwarven multicannon can be used to assist in luring the terrorbirds.

Warped Terrorbirds will react to players' protection prayers, immediately switching to attack with either ranged or melee attacks if players pray Protect from Melee or Missiles, respectively; they always try to use the style not prayed against. (They attack randomly melee/range within melee distance if no protection prayers are actively being used.)

This can be taken advantage of - if only one terrorbird is able to reach the player at melee distance and others are attacking at a range, players can use Protect from Missiles for a few seconds. This will cause all terrorbirds to attempt to move to melee distance. If they are unable to reach the player doing this, they are effectively safespotted and will not switch back to using ranged attacks, granted the player does not use Protect from Melee. This allows the player to fight a single terrorbird at a time.
