The Temple of Ikov is a dungeon underneath Hemenster. The main entrance to the dungeon is located south of the Ranging Guild. The second entrance inside the house in McGrubor's Wood requires a shiny key.

There are no requirements to access the dungeon, however players that have not completed the Temple of Ikov quest will need to wear a pendant of Lucien to pass through the gates north-west of the southern entrance.

The two entrances to the dungeon.

The dungeon is also the only place that contains the boots of lightness (except through Perdu). Players must bring a knife or a slash weapon, as well as a light source, and go down the stairs near the entrance of the dungeon. Players must slash the web to collect the boots on the other side of the small room, which will lower weight by 4.535 kg when equipped.

The Temple of Ikov is the site of the only remaining temple of Armadyl in Gielinor, on the other side of the dungeon, and is inhabited by the Guardians of Armadyl. This is also where the Staff of Armadyl was located. The guardians serve to protect the Staff of Armadyl, a very powerful staff used by Zamorak to betray Zaros and ascend to godhood at the end of the Second Age.

Monsters

  1. ^ Only during Temple of Ikov.

Quests

  • During the Temple of Ikov quest, the player is employed by Lucien to steal the staff from the temple, although the player is later given the choice to either aid the guardians or Lucien. Despite what the player chooses to do, the staff is later stolen anyway by Movario.

Trivia

The former KBD Lair, which was visible by using the oculus orb.
  • Originally, when RuneScape 2 was released, the King Black Dragon Lair was mapped by the Temple of Ikov. It was later changed due to safespotting.[1] It no longer exists in-game after an update. Players who were in the icy area of the Temple of Ikov could see some of the old KBD lair's tiles on their minimap, and even hear the lava bubbling if they stood close enough to the western wall.
  • Players cannot trade each other while inside the dungeon.
