Selected iron is a quest item used in the Animal Magnetism quest. The player must give the Witch in Draynor Manor five regular iron bars and she will then return the bar that is most suitable for turning into a bar magnet. The player must then take this bar to the mine near Rimmington and hit the bar with a hammer, making sure to face in the north direction, to turn it into a bar magnet. This will grant the player a token amount of Smithingexperience.
