The iron spear is a members-only two-handed melee weapon. An iron spear can be obtained by buying one from the Fortis Blacksmith, buying one from another player, or receiving it as a monster drop. The only way it can be created using the Smithing skill is through Barbarian Training after completing Tai Bwo Wannai Trio. It can be poisoned.
