Walkthrough

• Go to the house west of the The Cloak and Stagger tavern in Shayzien. (Xeric's Talisman - 1. Xeric's Lookout and run north-west, or Fairy Ring DJR)
• Speak to Phileas Rimor, and agree to help him. ( 2•1)…

  2	Do you need help with anything?
  1	Yes.

• Gather a ranged weapon, a melee weapon (a pickaxe counts as a valid melee weapon), and runes to perform any magic attack if you have not already.
• Go to the Arceuus Library (Fairy ring CIS or Lovakengj Minecart Network) and speak to Archeio to teleport to the Library Historical Archive.
• Speak to Pagida, and agree to be teleported into the Tower of Magic prison. ( 2•1)…

  2	I have a question about King Shayzien VII.
  1	Yes please.

• Push the strange device all the way west. From the north side, attack the device using magic.
• From the south side, attack using melee. (Note: Make sure your NPC attack options are not set to hidden, or the Attack option will not appear!)
• Push the strange device all the way east. From the south side, attack using ranged.
• Investigate the skeleton in the northern cell.
• Return to the quest start and talk to Phileas Rimor (Xeric's Talisman - 1. Xeric's Lookout and run north-west).
• Go north-west to the War Tent in the south-west corner of the Shayzien Encampment. Go upstairs and speak to Lord Shiro Shayzien.

• Travel to the summit of Mount Quidamortem. (Lovakengj Minecart Network or Xeric's Talisman - 5. Xeric's Honour if it is unlocked) or Fairy ring BLS (if unlocked)
  • (Optional) Speak to the Mountain Guide to unlock quick travel to and from the mountain.
• Speak to Historian Duffy. (near the water symbol on the minimap)
• Use a rope on the crevice on the western side of the mountain, and enter the crevice. Go around to the south, not through the middle. (near the ! symbol on minimap)
• Mine the Boulder.
• Push the Boulder.
• Attempt to pass the magic gate, and kill the Corrupt Lizardman.
• Pass through the magic gate and inspect the Unstable Altar.
• Hop worlds after you finish the dialogue to quickly leave the cave.
• Speak to Historian Duffy again.
• Go back to the unstable altar in the cave.
• Speak to Duffy and then Gnosi near the unstable altar. Make sure to speak to them BOTH.
• Speak to Lord Shiro Shayzien back at the war tent. (Fairy ring DJR or the Lovakengj Minecart Network) or Speak to the Mountain Guide
• Return to Phileas's house and walk inside to get dialogue. He will not be there.
• Return to Lord Shiro Shayzien once more.
• Congratulations, quest complete!
