Weight-reducing clothing is clothing that players can wear that will reduce their weight. Weight reduction is useful for skilling and quests that involve a lot of running, because run energy decreases relative to a player's weight. A lower weight means less run energy depleted, and Agility obstacles sometimes have a greater chance of being completed if the player is lighter.
The most popular example of weight-reducing clothing is the graceful outfit, which has a set effect increasing run energy restore rate by 30%. Even if a player isn't wearing the entire set, individual graceful pieces still offer some energy restore rate increase, and therefore are generally preferable to non-graceful counterparts.
Having negative weight is the same as having 0.0kg of weight in terms of run energy depletion rates. However, items in the inventory (or other non-weight reducing pieces of equipment) also add to a player's overall weight. Wearing the clothing that offers the maximum weight reduction (graceful hood, graceful top, graceful legs, boots of lightness, penance gloves, and the spottier cape), players can achieve the maximum weight reduction of –27.5 kilograms.
There are currently no weight-reducing items for the ring slot, necklace slot, weapon slot, shield slot, or ammunition slot.
