The Rewards Guardian is a rift guardian found outside the barrier in the Temple of the Eye. Players can search the guardian's rift to receive their rewards after completing a round of Guardians of the Rift.
One elemental and catalytic point are needed to search the Rewards Guardian. Players will receive points after closing a rift provided they gained at least 300 total energy during that game. An elemental point will be given for every 100 elemental energy and a catalytic point will be given for every 100 catalytic energy, with a chance of rounding up (e.g. 73 catalytic energy will give a 73% chance of gaining one catalytic point). A game message will inform the player how many of each they have earned, as well as display their total points. The "Check" option on the Rewards Guardian will also show the total number of points the player has, as well as the total number of times they've searched them for rewards. The maximum number of searches that can be stored is 65,535.[1]
Alternatively, 25 abyssal pearls can be consumed instead of points to search the guardian. Searches performed this way have access to the standard drop table, including uniques such as the pet.
Rewards from the rift include runes, talismans, and various unique rewards. Abyssal pearls can only be obtained from this minigame and are used to purchase items from the Temple Supplies shop, which include the Raiments of the Eye and ring of the elements. Rewards are collected from the rift at a rate of 1 reward for every 3 ticks (1.8 seconds). Players can also collect their rewards in batches of 5 per click with the "Big-search" option.
The average number of abyssal pearls received per search is 2.14,[2] thus making 630 the average number of searches required to complete the full Raiments of the Eye set if no duplicate items or excess dyes are traded in.[3]
