The Resource Area is a small enclosure located east of the Deserted Keep. It is guarded by Mandrith. An entrance fee of 7,500 coins is required to enter the resource area. This is reduced to 6,000 coins after completing the medium Wilderness Diary, or 3,750 coins after completing the hard Wilderness Diary, and players who have completed the elite Wilderness Diary can enter free of charge. If a player logs out while inside the area, they will be brought outside the area entrance, and, if applicable, must pay the fee again should they wish to re-enter the area.

The resource area contains various Fishing, Woodcutting and Mining resources. Piles, a banknote exchange merchant, will note items obtained within the area for 50 coins per item. Players should be warned the area is in the Wilderness, and may be attacked by other players here. It is advised to bring extra coins in order to re-enter the area when logging out to help evade player killers.

The mine is one of many where three iron rocks can be mined without moving, thus ideal for power-mining. It also contains two runite golems, which can be killed then mined for runite ores. There is also a permanent fire, which allows fishers to cook their dark crabs without the need to create a fire. In addition, there is a furnace and anvil within the area, making it unique for being a place where the whole cycle from mining ores to stackable smithing produce can be done within very short distances.

Transportation

  • Pull the lever in either Ardougne or Edgeville to teleport to the Deserted Keep. Run north and slash the web, then run east.
  • Use a Wilderness Obelisk to travel to level 50 Wilderness. Run west past the Rogues' Castle and the Chaos Elemental.
  • Ice Plateau Teleport or Ghorrock Teleport to the Frozen Waste Plateau, and then run east.
