Nettle tea is a hot drink that can be obtained by cooking nettle-water on a fire or cooking range, requiring level 20 Cooking and granting 52 experience when successful. Players may accidentally let the water boil over, returning an empty bowl; the rate of success while making these will increase as players reach higher Cooking levels. It will stop boiling over entirely at Cooking level 54 on both ranges and fires.

Drinking the tea heals 3 hitpoints. If you are not at full health, the tea will also refresh some run energy (5%), but if you are already at full hitpoints, run energy will not be restored. This item is used during the Ghosts Ahoy quest, as well as the miniquest Skippy and the Mogres. This item also can be used to bribe Panning guide to unlock panning instead of Cup of tea.

This particular kind of tea cannot be added to a tea flask.

Custom teas

A bucket of milk may be added to the finished tea to create milky nettle tea, and both versions of the tea can be added to an empty cup to create a cup of tea or a cup of milky tea. None of these variants change the effects of the drink, and they cannot be added to a tea flask.

How to make nettle tea

You will need nettles and a bowl of water. To pick nettles you will need some kind of gloves.

Fill a bowl with water.
Put some picked nettles into the bowl of water.
Boil the nettle-water by using it with a fire or range.
Optional: Use the bowl of nettle-water with an empty cup.
Optional: Lastly add a bucket of milk to create a milky bowl/cup of tea.
