The Necropolis is an area on the south-eastern coast of the Kharidian Desert. It is the location of the Jaltevas Pyramid, otherwise known as the Tombs of Amascut, which is in actuality the ancient tomb of Osmumten, the last Chosen of Tumeken. Entering the Necropolis requires partial completion of Beneath Cursed Sands.

• Fairy ring AKP — an island just off the coast, by the mine. Requires 62 Agility to cross.
• Pharaoh's sceptre — Jaltevas, the Tombs of Amascut lobby. To unlock this teleport, players must first commune with the obelisk just north of the mine while having a pharaoh's sceptre in the inventory.
• Nardah teleport — Nardah town centre, a long run north of the area.
• Desert amulets — Temple of Elidinis in Nardah. Amulets 2 and 3 offer one teleport daily; amulet 4 offers unlimited teleports.

The Necropolis was, for a long time, buried under the sand, until a storm came in from the south and unearthed it. Even so, not many visit it due to superstitions associated with it, such as the sand being marked by death, though it is also believed by some that the colour of the sand is simply due to the amount of salt in it.^[1]

After its unearthing, the spy Maisa contacts and adventurer about suspicious activity in the ruins. It soon becomes revealed that missing Menaphites had been hypnotized by the Devourer, and were being forced to excavate the Jaltevas Pyramid within the necropolis! Maisa then tasked the adventurer with venturing into the tombs to defeat the Devourer. The adventurer was able to contact Osmumten, but learned that the Devourer's forces would soon return to the pyramid.

• The Necropolis mine, containing several granite rocks and sandstone rocks, as well as several Kharidian cacti.

• The Necropolis Hunter area, with five young trees that can be used to catch orange salamanders
• The Tombs of Amascut raid takes place deep inside the Jaltevas Pyramid.
