The hunters' sunlight crossbow is an upgraded variant of the hunters' crossbow that requires level 66 Ranged and 50 Hunter to use. It is made with level 74 Fletching by using a sunlight antelope antler on the hunters' crossbow with a chisel in inventory.

The crossbow uses sunlight or moonlight antler bolts, and works with grapples. Despite being an upgrade from the hunter's crossbow, it cannot be used to fire kebbit or long kebbit bolts.

As with other crossbows, the bolts fired from it roll against the enemy's heavy ranged defence,^[1] tying it with Karil's crossbow and chinchompas as the fastest firing weapons to do so. Like the hunters' crossbow, it possesses an attack speed of 4 (3 on rapid), equal to a shortbow and faster than most other crossbows.

Due to its quick attack speed and the high strength bonus of its bolts, it is very effective against enemies where a crossbow is desirable but enchanted bolts are not needed.

• The hunters' sunlight crossbow was originally proposed as the hunter's moonlight crossbow. As the name implies, it would have been crafted with a moonlight antelope antler. The original iteration had +5 Ranged accuracy over the hunters' crossbow (for a total of +60 accuracy) and fired moonlight antler bolts, which originally had +85 Ranged Strength. However, to compensate, the weapon was polled as a 5 tick attack speed (4 on rapid).^[2] This was changed to its current name and stats, using sunlight antelope antlers instead due to player feedback; the 91 Hunter requirement to hunt moonlight antelope was seen as disproportionately large compared to the weapon's power.
• Despite the item name being the Hunters' sunlight crossbow, the in-game skill guides and creation dialogue refer to it as the Sunlight hunters' crossbow, with the first two words being swapped.
