A fishing explosive is a consumable piece of Slayer equipment purchased from any Slayer master. It can lure mogres out of the water by using it on any of the three Ominous Fishing Spots in Mudskipper Point.
It can also be used to instantly awaken the Kraken boss by using it on the large whirlpool.
It is required for killing a mogre for completing the medium task set in the Falador Diary.

Trivia
- Attempting to throw a fishing explosive at an ominous fishing spot prior to completing Skippy and the Mogres will cause the player to say "Sinister as that fishing spot is, why would I want to explode it?".
- Attempting to use a fishing explosive within two squares of an Ominous Fishing Spot causes your player to dubiously state, "If this thing explodes, I think I should stand a liiiiittle further away..."
