The ominous fishing spots are used to disturb Mogres, causing them to appear and attack the player. This is caused by using Fishing explosive on any of the fishing spots. These spots are hard to see and do not appear on the minimap. One method of finding them is to move your cursor over the coast until you cross over one.
Trivia
- Attempting to throw a fishing explosive at the ominous fishing spot prior to completing Skippy and the Mogres will cause the player to say "Sinister as that fishing spot is, why would I want to explode it?".
