A catalytic tiara is a head slot item used in Runecraft. It is created at any catalytic runic altar (except for the Astral Altar, Soul Altar or Kourend's Blood Altar) by using a gold tiara or catalytic talisman on the altar with both in your inventory. This consumes the catalytic talisman and yields 60 Runecraft experience. As with all other tiaras, catalytic runic altars accessed through Guardians of the Rift cannot be used for imbuing.
The Catalytic runes are: Cosmic runes, Mind runes, Body runes, Chaos runes, Nature runes, Law runes, Death runes, Blood runes, Soul runes and Wrath runes.
While a catalytic tiara is equipped, the mysterious ruins to catalytic altars have a left-click "Enter" option, freeing up an inventory slot that the catalytic talisman would otherwise occupy.
A catalytic tiara, or any other imbued tiaras, may also be used on the Hat of the Eye in order to make the hat function as the tiara that was attuned to it.
The tiara (or the talisman) can be used to access the Death Altar during Mourning's End Part II to skip completing Thorgel's item list.
