The Law Altar is a runic altar upon which law runes are crafted from pure essence, providing 9.5 Runecraft experience per essence imbued. Level 54 Runecraft and completion of the quest Troll Stronghold is required to craft law runes. The altar is believed to have been built upon the very spot where Saradomin first set foot upon Gielinor in the Second Age.

Players may create a law tiara here by using either a law talisman or a tiara on the altar whilst having both in their inventory, granting 47.5 Runecraft experience. A catalytic tiara can also be created here by using a catalytic talisman and gold tiara, granting 42.5 Runecraft experience.

Upon entering the Law Altar, the music track Righteousness plays.

The entrance to the altar can be found on the northern side of Entrana. Thus, no weapons or armour can be taken to the altar. See the list of equipment for the complete list of allowed and banned items. The altar can also be accessed through the Abyss following the completion of the Troll Stronghold quest, although the same list of prohibited items applies.

To enter the mysterious ruins, players either have to use a law talisman on the ruins, or click "Enter" on the ruins while wearing a law tiara. Alternatively, a catalytic talisman, tiara or Hat of the Eye attuned with a catalytic tiara may be used.

• Inside the altar, the floor has a pattern which looks like a scale, the same design found on law runes. A scale is one of the two items held by Lady Justice, whose likeness is found decorating many courts of law.
