The steel full helm is the third weakest full helm. The steel full helm grants greater defensive bonuses than its medium helmet counterpart, though at a cost of offensive bonuses for Ranged and Magic. Wearing this helmet requires at least 5 Defence.
To create a steel full helmet you need at least 37 Smithing, a hammer, and two steel bars. Then use one of the bars on an anvil with the hammer in your inventory. This will grant 75 Smithing experience.
Members with 16+ Construction can use a steel full helmet on a pluming stand to make a steel heraldic helm, a steel full helm designed in the colours of the player's family crest. Family crests are obtained from Sir Renitee in Falador Castle.
