Ourg bones

Ourg bones are bones obtained by killing Slash Bash, the boss from Zogre Flesh Eaters, stealing them from ogre coffins via the Thieving skill, or using keys dropped by zogres and skogres on nearby chests. As Slash Bash cannot be respawned after he has been killed once, ourg bones cannot be farmed from the boss.

Ourg bones give 140 Prayer experience when buried. This can be increased by offering the bones in different ways:

• 420 XP when casting Sinister Offering.
• 420 XP when offered at the sacred bone burner after the appropriate faith level has been achieved.
• 490 XP when offered at a gilded altar with two lit burners.
• 560 XP when offered at the Ectofuntus in the form of ourg bonemeal.
• 560 XP when blessed and broken down into blessed bone shards and offered at the libation bowl.
• 672 XP when blessed and broken down into blessed bone shards and offered at the libation bowl with jug of blessed sunfire wine. Virilis outside the altar will exchange noted bones for 10 coins each.
• 980 XP on average when offered at the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness. Each offering gives 490 XP, which is the same as the gilded altars with two burners lit, but with an additional 50% chance to not consume the bones.

Due to only being able to obtain them once from Slash Bash, and ogre coffins being slow to loot, Ourg bones are relatively rare, and as a result are generally much pricier than bones that provide similar Prayer experience.

Ourg bones provide the second most Prayer experience of all bones in the game, surpassed only by superior dragon bones. Unlike superior dragon bones, they do not have a Prayer level requirement to offer them, and grant almost as much experience.
