Mountain Camp

The Mountain Camp is a small settlement east of the Troll Stronghold, built by the migratory Mountain Tribe. The camp is the primary focus of the Mountain Daughter quest. Due to its remote location and lack of resources, the Mountain Camp is rarely visited by players, other than for the quest and a hard Treasure Trails step.

Before starting the quest, a rope is required to access the camp, to climb over a boulder north of the normal entrance path. After finishing Mountain Daughter, players can simply climb over the rockslide next to the guard.

• Fairy ring AJR, — south of the entrance.
• Slayer ring — Fremennik Slayer Dungeon entrance.
• House orRellekka teleport — Rellekka house portal, a decent run west of the entrance. Requires a POH in Rellekka.

• Diary cape — just east of the Rellekka house portal.
• Enchanted lyre — slightly north of the Rellekka house portal.
• Music cape — Falo the Bard, a long run south-west of the entrance.

Players who have not completed the elite Fremennik diaries can also teleport to Lunar Isle while not wearing a Seal of Passage, then talk to anyone other than 'Birds-Eye' Jack to be teleported into Rellekka nearby.

The Mountain Tribe were once part of the Fremennik people. As the Fremennik settled down and built the city of Rellekka, the Mountain Tribe continued to roam, believing their migratory lifestyle kept them closer to nature than their Fremennik counterparts. Shortly before they left, though, they stole an ancient relic of the Fremennik, the ancient rock, souring the already tense relationship between the two.

In the year 169, an adventurer was able to commune with the spirit of Asleif Hamalsdotter, who was slain by a monster known as the Kendal (later revealed to be a cannibalistic man in a costume). Asleif instructed the adventurer to make peace between the Mountain Tribe and the Rellekkans, leading the player to return a part of the relic.

There are six tents:

• Jokul's tent, near the entrance to the pool, is surrounded by a fence that encloses four gates and a hard STASH unit.
• There are three unoccupied tents, one each north and west of the fire, and one north of the mud pit. The eastern tent has a table.
• The large tent south of the fire contains the ancient rock.
• The large tent east of the fire, occupied by Hamal.

There is also the shining pool and the Kendal's lair. The shining pool gives off a faint singing sound, and is surrounded by geysers. The Kendal's lair can no longer be accessed after the quest.

• Two guards, one who guards the entrance to the camp, and another who guards the ancient rock.
• Jokul, the animal herder found in the goat pen.
• Ragnar, the fiance of the late chieftain's daughter.
• Svidi, a hesitant Mountain Tribe representative.
