Lava Maze

The Lava Maze is a maze located deep in the Wilderness, around level 40-45. In the entrance and partway through the maze, there are spiderwebs that must be cut with a slash weapon or a knife. Should players somehow lose their slash weapon or knife while inside the maze, there are a couple of knife item spawns.

An Agility shortcut (stepping stone) on the north side of the maze allows you to go to the centre of the maze with 82 Agility.

Using a burning amulet's Lava Maze teleport is the fastest method, and will teleport you directly to the maze's entrance on the west side. The Ghorrock Teleport and level 44 Wilderness Obelisk also provide quick access to the west side of the maze.

The level 35 Wilderness Obelisk, the Wilderness canoe stop, and the Revenant cave teleport scroll all take the player near the south-east side of the lava maze, and can be good ways to access the Agility shortcut on the north side.

In the centre of the maze, the muddy chest can be found. A muddy key is required to open the chest, which contains a fair amount of treasure; looting the chest will earn the player two mithril bars, 5 law runes, 5 death runes, 15 chaos runes, an uncut ruby, and a chance at receiving some additional rare loot, including a Larran's key.

Outside the maze to the north are two runite rocks. To the west is a metal fenced area containing more lesser demons and one of the entrances to the Lava Maze Dungeon. This entrance is the one players use to reach the King Black Dragon Lair. To the south is the Hobgoblin Mine.
