Huntmaster Gilman (Novice) is a hunter found in the Burrow under the Hunter Guild. Players can offer to investigate novice tier Hunters' Rumours for him, where he can assign every possible rumour. Once the assigned rumour is completed, Gilman will reward the player with a basic hunters' loot sack.

If the player has an active rumour with another Guild Hunter and an unfinished rumour with Gilman, he will offer to give the player "a new one entirely". This option resets all unfinished rumours and disallows the player from receiving new ones from the other Guild Hunters until Gilman's is complete, including Guild Hunters unlocked after receiving Gilman's rumour. This functions similarly to Turael skipping for slayer tasks.

Gilman also will sell stew for 20gp and trapper's tipple for 3gp.
