Bonecrusher necklace

The bonecrusher necklace is a necklace that can be created by combining the bonecrusher and dragonbone necklace with a hydra tail. It requires level 70 in Prayer to equip and shares its best in slot +12 prayer bonus with the dragonbone necklace.

The necklace possesses the effects of both the bonecrusher and the dragonbone necklace, being able to automatically crush bones while restoring prayer, saving an inventory slot. Like the bonecrusher, the necklace must be charged with ecto-tokens (25 charges per token). It can be charged quickly using the free bonemeal and buckets of slime from Robin given daily as part of the hard Morytania diary rewards. The prayer restoration effect does not stack with the Catacombs of Kourend prayer restoration effect. When unequipped, the bonecrusher necklace behaves like an ordinary bonecrusher, granting Prayer experience but no restoration.

The bones crushed can include those from monsters killed traditionally, but can also include those killed using hunter methods such as deadfall traps.

When killed in PvP, the bonecrusher necklace and its charges are kept when protected. When unprotected, only the bonecrusher is kept with the charges, the hydra tail and dragonbone necklace are always dropped to the killer.

The amount of points restored are as follows:

• Bones, Burnt bones, Monkey bones, Wolf bones, and Bat bones restore 1 prayer point.
• Big bones, Jogre bones, Zogre bones, Wyrmling bones, Shaikahan bones, and Small ninja monkey bones restore 2 prayer points.
• Baby dragon bones, Bull bones, Wyrm bones, and Strykewyrm bones restore 3 prayer points.
• Dragon, Frost dragon, Wyvern, Drake, Dagannoth, Hydra, Fayrg, Raurg, and Lava dragon bones restore 4 prayer points.
• Superior dragon bones, Giant bones, and Ourg bones restore 5 prayer points.

The bonecrusher necklace will not affect demonic ashes. For automatic scattering, use the Ash sanctifier. For spectral creatures that do not drop ashes or bones, use the Ectoplasmator. Neither the ash sanctifier, nor the ectoplasmator will restore prayer points.

Players cannot have a bonecrusher and a bonecrusher necklace at the same time.

The bonecrusher necklace must be charged with ecto-tokens to function, gaining 25 charges per ecto-token used. One charge is used per bone crushed. The charge limit is 2,147,483,647, the maximum value of a 32-bit signed integer. Players can configure the charges while the necklace is in their bank by right-clicking on Configure-Charges, as long as players have the required materials. Assembling and dismantling the bonecrusher necklace will retain the charges on the regular bonecrusher.

Uncharging the bonecrusher necklace will return one ecto-token per 25 charges stored. Leftover charges less than 25 will remain on the bonecrusher necklace. It cannot be uncharged a second time to remove the remaining charges, however, dismantling the necklace and destroying the unattached bonecrusher will remove them.

It can be charged quickly using the free bonemeal and buckets of slime from Robin given daily as part of the medium Morytania diary rewards.

Using the materials on each other will ask the player "Are you sure you wish to combine the Hydra Tail, Dragonbone Necklace, and the Bonecrusher to create the Bonecrusher Necklace.^[sic]". The necklace can be reverted back into its components.

Note: When combined, the charges that the bonecrusher held will be added to the bonecrusher necklace.

• If the player were to somehow have a bonecrusher necklace on the floor while already having one in their inventory or bank, attempting to pick the one on the floor up deletes it and gives the message You already have a bonecrusher necklace.
