Baby blue dragons are the young of adult blue dragons found in Taverley Dungeon, the Isle of Souls Dungeon, the bottom floor of the Ruins of Tapoyauik, and in the basement of the Myths' Guild. Unlike their adult forms, they do not breathe fire.

Players who wish to kill baby blue dragons without being attacked by the adult blue dragons can find some in the Taverley Dungeon near the lava eel fishing spot, south of the Agility shortcut. They can also be killed on the east side of the main Taverley Dungeon room as no adult blue dragon will walk there.

They can be killed as an alternative for a blue dragon Slayer task.

Date	Changes
27 August 2025 (Update)	The drop rate of Tooth half of key (moon key) has been increased from 1/7500 to 1/1066. Baby blue dragons in the Ruins of Tapoyauik now drop the baby dragon bone during Rag and Bone Man II.
6 August 2025 (Update)	Baby blue dragon's stab defence has been decreased from 5 to 0.
25 June 2025 (Update)	Baby blue dragon's heavy Ranged defence has been decreased from 15 to 5. Baby blue dragon's stab defence has been decreased from 10 to 5.
9 October 2024 (Update)	Unique variants of the baby blue dragon have been added for those located in the Ruins of Tapoyauik.
29 May 2024 (Update)	Baby blue dragons now have a 50% elemental weakness to water spells. Baby blue dragon's heavy Ranged defence has been lowered from 30 to 15. Baby blue dragon's stab defence has been lowered from 30 to 10.
17 May 2023 (Update \| poll)	Scaly blue dragonhide was added as a tertiary drop to the drop table with a rate of 1/200.
29 January 2020 (Update)	The NPC name was changed back from "Baby dragon" to "Baby blue dragon" to accommodate colourblind players.
29 August 2006 (Update)	The NPC was graphically updated again. The NPC was renamed from "Baby blue dragon" to "Baby dragon".
