Agility

Prioritise Graceful and diary shortcuts; rooftops are steady, Sepulchre is the skill ceiling.

QUICK WIN

Higher Agility improves run-energy restoration even when you are not actively training it.

UNDERSTANDING AGILITY

Learn the system before you optimise the loop.

Agility is a support skill with several viable routes. The best method is not automatically the one with the largest experience-rate number: startup time, travel, real input prices, useful outputs, and the amount of attention you can sustain all belong in the decision.

This guide treats levels as unlocks rather than a single uninterrupted race to 99. Use the route below as a strong default, then switch when a quest, diary, equipment upgrade, or account goal makes another method more valuable to you.

01

Agility unlocks obstacles and improves run-energy restoration. The restoration benefit applies throughout the account, not only while on a course.

02

Rooftop courses award marks of grace at course-specific rules. Outlevelling a course can reduce mark rates, so the fastest lap is not always the best Graceful route.

03

Failure obstacles reduce real XP and may require food. Weight, level, diaries, and course choice can influence the session.

04

Hallowed Sepulchre is a timing and pathing activity: experience, loot, and floor access all improve with player mastery and level.

Levels 1–26/33: Questing

2 detailed notes

Early levels can be skipped by completing quests that give Agility experience. Completing The Tourist Trap (using experience on Agility two times), Recruitment Drive, The Depths of Despair, and The Grand Tree will grant a total of 19,700 experience, which will get the player from level 1 to 33. These quests can be easily done at a low level and they have little requirements, however all of them involve some sort of combat. Notably, the experience rewards from The Tourist Trap alone are enough to get the player from level 1 to 26, and it is faster to complete the quest than to train on the low-level Agility courses.

Levels 1–99: Rooftop Agility Courses

9 data rows

Rooftop Agility Courses are slower but straightforward and less attention-intensive alternatives to the faster training methods. While training on one of the rooftop courses, there is a chance of finding a mark of grace. These can be used to purchase the pieces of the graceful outfit, recolour existing pieces of the graceful outfit, or purchase amylase crystals which can be sold for profit. Considering the GE price of amylase crystals, each mark of grace is worth 5,560 coins.

As rooftop courses are less attention-intensive it allows you to integrate other training methods while navigating the course, such as High Level Alchemy or Fletching training using Dart tips.

Marks of grace despawn after 10 minutes, so it is recommended to pick them up as they appear. However, on the Ardougne Rooftop Course the marks can only spawn on one tile, which stacks the marks and resets the 10-minute timer. The spawn rate of marks on any rooftop course (excluding the Canifis Rooftop Course) is reduced to 20% of the normal rate once the player reaches 20 Agility levels higher than the requirement of that rooftop course. For example, a player training on the Seers' Village Rooftop Course will get the reduced rate at level 80.

Introduction

3 detailed notes

Agility training involves a lot of point-clicking and some methods may require a lot of focus to maximise experience gain. Higher Agility level increases one's ability to regenerate run energy and grants access to various shortcuts.

For the fastest rates, players should always run and use stamina potions (or some other form of run energy restoration) to maintain run energy if needed. Keeping weight at 0 or below is helpful, but not necessary. It is recommended to boost the Agility level by using summer pies or agility potions to train on a higher-level course earlier than it is available. Players who are failing obstacles very frequently or have low Hitpoints are advised to bring some food to restore health.

AGILITY CALCULATOR

Turn a level goal into hours and materials.

Select a method for its realistic experience-rate band. Add XP and GP per action when you want an exact resource estimate for your chosen item.

THE ROUTE

From level 1 to cape

1

1–40

Quest and early rooftop courses

Use the best convenient rooftop and start collecting marks of grace. The opening objective is access, not perfect efficiency. Use quests and inexpensive equipment to compress levels where possible, and avoid over-investing in a method you will outgrow quickly.
2

40–60

Canifis and graceful pieces

This is a common window for completing most or all of Graceful. This is where the skill settles into a repeatable loop. Upgrade the parts of the setup that affect every action, measure a representative session, and keep travel or banking from becoming the hidden bottleneck.
3

60–72

Seers’ Village and shortcuts

Diary teleports can improve the course; aim toward Hallowed Sepulchre. At the mid-game checkpoint, compare the fastest route with account progress, useful outputs, and attention. A slightly slower method can be more efficient overall when it also supplies quests, diaries, or another skill.
4

72–99

Sepulchre or rooftops

Sepulchre rewards mastery and loot; rooftops remain calmer and consistent.Late-game training is a sustainability problem. Recheck prices and unlocks, alternate high-focus sessions with calmer ones, and choose a route you can repeat without turning the cape into a chore.
LOWER-INTENSITY ALTERNATIVE

Brimhaven Agility Arena and the Agility Pyramid offer variety and, in the latter case, some GP.

LEVEL REFERENCE

Milestones worth planning around

These are decision points, not instructions to stop. Boostable requirements and quest gates can change when an unlock becomes usable.

LevelUnlockWhy it matters
10Draynor rooftopEarly marks-of-grace progression.
40Canifis rooftopA popular Graceful collection course.

QUEST ROUTING

Let account progress do part of the grind.

Quest experience is most valuable when it skips slow early methods or opens a training system you will keep using.

QUEST 1

The Tourist Trap

Selectable experience can skip a large portion of early Agility.

QUEST 2

Recruitment Drive

A modest Agility reward in an important quest line.

QUEST 3

Sins of the Father

Unlocks Darkmeyer and Hallowed Sepulchre.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Agility FAQ

Do I need full Graceful immediately?

No. Individual pieces reduce weight and the full set adds a restoration effect, but teleports and shorter routes often save more time than delaying every goal for the set.

Is Sepulchre worth learning?

Yes if you enjoy active pathing. It offers strong experience and valuable loot, but rooftops remain perfectly valid for a calmer session.
