Wyvern Cave

The Wyvern Cave is a pair of ancient caverns found on Fossil Island. It contains wyverns that were long thought to be extinct. The northern cavern is monitored by Weve (Steve's son) who only allows players on a Slayer task to kill the wyverns inside; the wyverns in the southern cavern can be killed at any time.

A dwarf multicannon cannot be set up; attempting to do so will result in "Fungi start eating into the legs of your cannon; you quickly decide not to set it up here."

To get to the cave players have several options:

• The northern, task-only cave is is reached via the trapdoor found in the Mushroom Forest Show map. To get to the cave, use the digsite pendant to teleport to Fossil Island. Then use the Magic Mushtree to teleport to Mushroom Meadow. Finally run south to the trapdoor.
• The regular cave is found south of the Museum Camp Show map. To get to it, teleport to the Digsite. Travel to Fossil Island using the barge, run east past the bank, and then south-east into the cave.

From the appearance of both caves, it is clear that dragonkin have previously inhabited the area. In the northern cave, a shrine can be found alongside what appears to be skeletal remains of a dragonkin. Upon examining the shrine, the chatbox will state Forcae castil draekeun. Ortha lokur. Lith kletter ortha lokur. Draekeun fia Lithkren.

Using translations found in RuneScape 3, the examine text can be roughly translated as Forcae combine dragon. First steel. Superior green first steel. Dragon safe from Lithkren. Forcae is the name of the dragonkin who created metal dragons, while Lithkren is the name of a fortress built by Zorgoth.

In addition, the southern cave contains three stone tables with the dragonkin symbol. Two are destroyed, but one in the north-east corner is fully intact, alongside the remains of what is presumed to be a dragonkin.
