The Toad and Chicken is a bar and an inn found in Burthorpe, north of Taverley. It caters primarily to the soldiers and citizens of Burthorpe. Wizard's mind bomb, Dwarven stout and Asgarnian ale are all purchasable from Tostig for two coins each. Players can also find a trapdoor leading to the Rogues' Den behind the bar on the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US]. Players can also pickup an Asgarnian ale and an empty beer glass on the bar counter.
Players doing the Death Plateau quest can find Harold in the last room on the 1st floor[UK]2nd floor[US] of the inn. On the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US], players can help Bernald, in the garden, during the Garden of Tranquillity quest by curing his grape vines.
A branch bar, served by Sam and Rachael, can be found inside the Burthorpe Games Room. The branch bar shares the same stock as the main bar.

Trivia
The origin of the name is not currently known, the two main interpretations are:
- The name might be a reference to a basilisk, which is said to hatch from a chicken's egg incubated by a toad.
- The name might refer to the king and prince of Burthorpe castle.
